Day 3 of Yoga for Beginners – Restorative Yoga

Welcome to Day 3 of Yoga for Beginners!

This 7-day series helps students new to yoga build the foundation they need for a successful practice. Throughout the series, we'll focus on alignment, building strength, increasing flexibility and mobility, and reducing stress.

About the Class

During this 30-minute Restorative Yoga class, we'll use restorative postures to create a sense of deep relaxation. Postures are supported with a range of props and are held for longer periods of 10-15 minutes allowing the body-mind to fully relax. Because of the meditative nature of restorative yoga, today's practice is great to do in the evening.

Props Needed

You can use household goods or standard yoga props.

  • 2 bed pillows or 1 bolster

  • 2 small decorative pillows or 2 yoga blocks

  • 2 lap blankets or 2 yoga blankets

Alright, it's time to gather your props and get cozy on your mat.
