Three Ways to Prop Savasana

About the Class

When we use yoga props, they help create space, offer support, and bring the floor to us. But sometimes we're not quite sure how to use them. In this quick video, I offer three different ways to prop your savasana pose with household goods and yoga props.

Props Needed

  • 2 bed pillows or 1 bolster

  • 2-4 yoga blocks or small decorative pillows

  • 2 throw blankets or yoga blankets

Additional Ideas

Hand towels rolled up are great underneath the outer thighs. A washcloth over the eyes helps invite your focus inward. Books work too — place them underneath the knees when in a reclined bound angle pose. You have so many options and none are wrong so get creative and have fun!
