Get The Wiggles Out – Gentle stretch
Our bodies are designed to move daily. When we sit for extended periods of time, our bodies become stiff and achy (e.g., low back pain, tight hip flexors). When we skip out on exercising regularly, we skip out on expelling excess energy (e.g. just like when you ‘run’ your kids). When we avoid moving for the recommended 30 minutes or more a day, our minds remain cluttered and chaotic. When we don’t exercise, we have a hard time falling asleep because of everything already mentioned.
Get the Wiggles Out was designed to tackle excess energy in the mind and body, work through aches and pains, increase range of motion, build strength, and help you sleep better. The yoga practices offered are 12-20 minutes in length so that you can get some much-needed movement in at any point throughout your day. This video series is accessible for all experience levels. So, get up off the couch or out of your desk chair and meet me on your mat.
In this 21-minute Gentle Stretch Yoga video, we'll move in a variety of ways to get the wiggles out. We'll explore side body stretching, core strengthening, external rotation through the hips, and twisting. This physical practice is great for beginners and to start or end your day with a little bit of movement. Have two yoga blocks handy for near the end of practice.
