Child’s pose is often used as a preparatory or restorative posture. In this video, I demonstrate three different variations. Find child's pose anytime you need to rest or catch your breath.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Start kneeling
Bring the big toes to touch
Take the knees wide on the mat
Inhale as you stretch your torso forward over your thighs
Settle hips towards the heels
Arms stretched long out in front, shoulder-distance apart

Supported Child’s pose
Extended Child’s pose with or without a block underneath the forehead
Traditional Child’s pose
With Anjali Mudra behind the back of the head
